Learning resilience for stressful times

In a recent seminar hosted by the Human Resources and Educational Programming departments, employees explored coping skills to help manage stress more effectively. Participants took time to explore their personal reactions to stress and change, then identified steps to achieve better balance in their lives.

This workshop is just one of many ways SCH is assisting employees in balancing their work and life. Many healing environment initiatives, as well as events and activities through Pastoral Care, aim to give employees and patients tools to encourage mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Additionally, through the Employee Assistance Program (Workplace Solutions), employees can learn to face change, stress and life-altering problems that can affect their health, family, and emotional well-being. This is a free, confidential service available to employees. The EAP also offers work-life and legal financial services to employees.
