Swedish Covenant Hospital is sporting a new look

If you take California Avenue to work, you likely have noticed that SCH’s California Avenue
Bridge is changing. This week the finishing touches are being placed on a new installment on the
Bridge featuring our hospital’s tagline, The science of feeling better, as well as vibrant
images, textures and colors.

This dynamic imagery, which will stay in place for the next three or four years, was specifically chosen
to show our community and patients that we understand and embrace science and technology, as
well as healing and excellent patient care.

The new design will let plenty of light shine on the interior Bridge walkway, while giving the exterior
a modern look. 

The “Faces of Healing” design which previously graced the exterior of the Bridge for three years
represented personalized care by showing our current and potential patients the faces of our excellent
medical staff leaders. However, over time our medical staff changed, and hospital executives saw a
need for a change of scenery and for “The science” to play a bigger role in the hospital’s message to
the community.

The California Avenue Bridge acts as our hospital’s very own, exclusive billboard. And with more than
17,000 people passing through the intersection of Foster and California avenues every day
(nearly 500,000 every month), it is an ideal place to display our hospital’s philosophy on patient care.

So throughout the week please take a walk around campus, watch the new design come to completion
and spread the word to your colleagues and neighbors about the latest addition to
The science of feeling better at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
