Local congregation reaches out to SCH patients, young and old
Cecilia Basilisco, RN, Sandra Ang, CAN, and Lisa Lozeau, RN, all of 5 North, show off gift bags which will be distributed to SCH pediatric patients. The bags were created by kids in the Edgebrook Covenant Church Vacation Bible School.
Edgebrook Covenant Church congregants and Vacation Bible School attendees put together more than 100 gift bags to help SCH pediatric and geriatric patients feel better.
Kids attending the Church’s Vacation Bible School filled brightly decorated bags with handwritten “get well” notes, Beanie Babies and other small toys and games for pediatric patients in our hospital. For older adult patients, the bags contained notes, toiletries, reading material and other comforting items.
The bags will be given to patients on several different units.
Thank you to all the members of the Edgebrook Covenant Church for your generosity and warm thoughts.
