The Chicago Back Institute is now accepting patients
The Chicago Back Institute at Swedish Covenant Hospital officially opened its doors to the public on July 1.
The Chicago Back Institute at Swedish Covenant Hospital officially opened on Thursday, July 1. Located in the Garden Pavilion, just west of the Healing Garden, this new service will satisfy the growing need for back and spine care in our community.
The nationally and internationally renowned neurological surgeons on staff will collaborate with SCH and GLC resources to ensure Chicago Back Institute patients benefit from all our organization has to offer, including:
o Pain management
o Complementary and alternative services
o Fitness, nutrition and wellness services
o Surgical services
o Rehabilitation services
The Chicago Back Institute is uniquely focused on helping patients explore all options, make informed decisions about their care and restore their quality of life. They take a highly integrative and collaborative approach to care, focusing on each patient's individual needs.
The neurological surgeons on staff view more aggressive surgeries as a last resort in favor of less aggressive or complementary procedures. If surgery is the most beneficial treatment, the Chicago Back Institute offers innovative surgical procedures and treatments that no one else in Chicago is doing.
For more information about the Chicago Back Institute, visit ChicagoBackInstitute.org, look for a message from CEO Mark Newton next week, and plan to attend an open house showcasing their new offices later this month (invitations to come).
