SCH physicians recognized at American Osteopathic Foundation Honors Celebration
In May 2009, Dr. Teresa Hubka was elected president of the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), the nation’s premier philanthropic arm of the osteopathic profession. She will be the first female to serve in this position since the AOF formed in 1949.
One of her first duties as president was to host the Foundation’s 2009 Honors Ceremony, as well as the 60th anniversary celebration of the organization, in New Orleans on November 1. This ceremony recognized clinicians who have served in the areas of education, research, and humanitarian efforts in the osteopathic medicine profession.
Two of the 24 awardees this year were Dr. Angelique Mizera of Swedish Covenant Hospital and Robyn Kretschy of Healthy Results Ltd. They were honored for their work in developing the nutrition education program through the Fit for Life Award.
