Local chambers mixed, mingled and "did the Robot"
Sally Krenger (Marketing) tests out the controls on the da Vinci Si HD at the "Mix, Mingle and do the Robot" community event held at SCH on April 15.
The da Vinci Si HD was positioned in GMP 2 to allow event participants to test out the controls and learn more about the technology.
Dr. Joseph Maurice, director of gynecologic robotic surgery, addressed the event attendees and explained more about the launch of SCH's Robotic Surgery Program.
Representatives from five local chambers were in attendance.
On April 15, representatives from five local chambers of commerce and many other members of the community enjoyed an evening of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, good conversation and test drives of SCH's da Vinci Si HD robotic surgery system.
Each attendee, including a patient who recently underwent a da Vinci surgery at SCH, had the opportunity to sit in the surgeon’s seat and operate the robotic controls.
This event not only facilitated networking between SCH and our local community partners, but also gave members of our community an opportunity to better understand our new surgical technology and get to know our trained surgeons and other medical staff members.
Photos from the event are at right.
